Reyna’s new album Coalyard Of Dreams hits the ground running with the rollicking first track Rocking Chair. Ed Vollmer (Dove Creek bandmate) sets the tone with outstanding fingerstyle guitar. Anne Leone adds angelic harmony, and Reyna's warm vocals, tenor guitar, and inspiring lyrics carry this song through.
The title track ☆ Coalyard Of Dreams ☆ will steal your heart. Renowned musician Todd Hobin (of the legendary Todd Hobin Band) adds signature vocal harmony and keyboard, blending beautifully with Ed's fluent guitar. Reyna’s vocals rise above, with a story you will not soon forget.
Sing Me A Story is a charming waltz tune. Liz ‘Fiddle’ Simchik’s beautiful violin, Ed’s lyrical guitar, Reyna’s sweet vocals and tenor guitar create a beguiling mix you will enjoy listening to again and again.
Bright Penny is a delightful message of love and hope. Tony Award winner Dianne Adams McDowell adds a slice of honky tonk on keyboard. Jim McDowell enhances the country beat on percussion. Dove Creek bandmate Putter Cox adds guitar and vocal harmony. Reyna’s vocals and tenor guitar are at the core. Upbeat and playful, this song will be a favorite.
November captures the season and perspectives on life. Ed Vollmer’s fingerstyle guitar moves beautifully throughout the song. Reyna’s vocals and tenor guitar spin the story. Putter Cox adds vocal harmony. November was written in a songwriting class taught by international duo Loren Barrigar and Mark Massengarb.
Solstice pairs Reyna’s tenor guitar and vocals with Ed’s brilliant six-string accompaniment. The poignant lyrics deliver a thoughtful message about finding strength and faith in yourself. “Ever been alone with people all around you - ever been lost till a song found you - ever been as strong as the wind that is blowing today…”
Rain Song captures a summer storm and heartache all in one. Steve Skollar’s mandolin weaves an enchanting spell. Ed carries the rhythm on guitar. Reyna’s vocals and lyrics, pure and honest, go straight to the heart.
Sequoia paints Reyna’s western “soul place” in the Sierra mountains and along the Northern California coast. The lyrical names of California towns, Reyna’s sweet vocals, fingerstyle tenor guitar, and Steve Skollar’s sparkling mandolin weave a story that points toward family and a longing for home anyone can relate to.
Cowgirl Dream nods to Reyna’s midwestern roots and love of horses. Lively banjo by Paul Fairbanks of Grassanova and fancy flat picking and vocal harmony by John Crespi of the Hamilton Ramblers add bluegrass flavor. Reyna’s vocals and tenor guitar complete the down home sound - sure to leave you with smile!
